As he navigates a messy family life, love, friendships, and personal struggles, the manga explores themes like depression, trauma, loneliness, and growing up. What makes it stand out is the portrayal of Punpun and his family as simple bird-like figures, contrasting with the hyper-realistic environment. This highlights how we often see ourselves and those closest to us differently than others do. From a visual perspective, I loved how the artist creatively and abstractly depicted emotions.
