A very fascinating book that retraces a lot of women’s artist’s self-portraits throughout the centuries. The pace and the accessibility of the writing makes it very easy to engage with all the different portraits and stories of the artists. Mostly focusing on European women, it is still a very beautiful discovery of how women really fight for being accepted and respected as artists.
