Tananarive Due is the undisputed queen of Black horror. Her latest full length novel is a masterpiece, following a young boy torn from his home after defending the honour of his sister, Gloria. Sent to the Gracetown School For Boys, Robbie discovers that the spirits of former students still haunt the reformatory, with not even death providing escape from its cursed walls. As Robbie builds his forces inside the school, Gloria rallies them outside, working tirelessly to secure his freedom. But nothing is simple or just in the Jim Crow South, and the siblings have an unthinkable path ahead of them.
