Sheila Heti on Alphabetical Diaries

We're thrilled to announce Sheila Heti's first event at Shakespeare and Company, to discuss her immersive and beautiful new work, Alphabetical Diaries. In conversation with Adam Biles.

*

Sheila Heti kept a record of her thoughts over a ten-year period, then arranged the sentences from A to Z. In the vein of Joe Brainard’s I Remember and Edouard Levé’s Autoportrait, passionate and reflective, joyful and despairing, these are the alphabetical diaries.

Free & open to all. Places limited. Arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Most events take place on our first floor, which is accessible by stairs. If you have any concerns about access, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Sheila Heti is the author of eleven books, including the novels Pure Colour, Motherhood and How Should a Person Be? She was named one of "The New Vanguard" by The New York Times; a list of fifteen writers from around the world who are "shaping the way we read and write fiction in the 21st century." Her books have been translated into twenty-five languages.
